JSF Brushes Special Wheel Brushes

JSF can design and manufacture special wheel brushes in most filament bristles.  The application for these special wheel brushes are many and varied, but they include:
  • steel sheet scrubbing
  • removal of surface coatings
  • fettling of cast components
  • rubber belt and rubber products roughening
  • rubber products de-flashing
  • roller cleaning etc.

 

They can be supplied in a range of diameters from 50mm to 350mm in most fill materials and different bore sizes.  Keyways can be fitted, rectangular and hexagonal bores (for more positive drive) can be produced.  The brushes can be densely packed or open, sparse, fill.

 

The length of the bristles can be short for hard aggressive work, or long, for more flexible brushing.  The width can be narrow or wide.  The filaments can be:
wire - steel, stainless steel, brass, phosphor bronze, nickel silver, brass coated steel wire
nylons - straight or crimped from 0.005" to 0.080"

polyethylenes - straight or crimped from 0.013" to 0.055"
polypropylenes - straight or crimped from 0.005" to 0.100"
polyesters - up to 0.070"
fibres- mexican, union, java and bassine
hairs - horsehair, goat hair and pig bristle
abrasive nylons - generally in sizes 0.018" nylon x 500 grit to 0.060" nylon x 46 grit (generally silicon carbide is used)
